The Iron Fairies Kuala Lumpur is primed to be the flagship jewel of TREC occupying three units and two roof terraces which all comes together to unfold a visual story in each unique space. It is one of KL’s most expensive bars being built to date, it’s a venue where the imagination can run wild as you take in the intricate detail of the hand-cast designs by Ashley Sutton himself and with different areas for seating and dancing reinforced with a powerful sound system by K-array.

Design Solution

Multiple K-array KN6 point/line-source active loudspeakers, paired with K-array KO70 active subwoofers, were installed throughout the main rooms of the venue. The self-powered design of these K-array systems eliminates the need for external amplifiers, reducing equipment footprint and freeing up valuable real estate within the venue. To further support live band performances, Frog-Is FP12P full-range loudspeakers were deployed to supplement the K-array system, while Frog-Is FP12 loudspeakers were installed as active stage monitors for Live Bands and DJs. Audio coverage across the venue was further enhanced by Frog-Is CS4W ceiling speakers and Frog-Is FP8P compact full-range loudspeakers ensuring consistent sound in the venue and throughout the alfresco areas. The fully integrated audio system delivers clear and powerful sound across all floors, creating a cohesive sonic identity for this flagship venue.

1Malaysia for Youth, usually stylised as iM4U, was an initiative of the former Malaysian government of Barisan Nasional (BN) led by Najib Razak. It was created to encourage the volunteerism among Malaysian youth. The program launched in July 2012 and in January 2013 the first group of twenty iM4U ambassadors was announced. IM4U became dormant and was dissolved after the downfall of BN government in the 2018 general election
