Thunder / K-array Italy
The K-array Thunder-KS3 I is a compact active subwoofer built around a 21” driver and a massive 4×2500W @ 4Ω Class-D amplifier with onboard DSP, designed to serve as the high-power core of K-array sound reinforcement while driving compatible passive loudspeakers from its integrated outputs.
Engineered for precision at scale, the KS3 I combines advanced DSP (grouping, parametric EQ, limiters, flexible routing, and up to 230 ms delay) with wireless tuning via K-array Connect and system-wide management through K-framework3. Its osKar embedded platform runs on an internal processor for reliable processing, while a symmetric-ported bass-reflex design and polyurea-coated Finnish birch plywood cabinet deliver touring-grade toughness—finished in black/white or full RAL for seamless integration.

Simply combining two or more subwoofers to obtain a configuration that guarantees cardioid diffusion even throughout the low frequencies promises to give you a cleaner sound on stage, minimise risk of acoustic feedback, and in general a greater control over sound design the way you want it.

The Thunder Series subs are built with a choice of Finnish birch plywood so it lightweight and incredibly resistant, making it the perfect speaker for audio rentals. The new polyurea paint and the cataphoresis treatment for the front grill, further treated with powder coating, also give greater resistance to the harsh weather environments often experienced on the road.
