K-array Thunder KS1 I
The K-array Thunder-KS1 I is a compact active subwoofer that pairs a 12” neodymium driver with a formidable 4×1500W @ 4Ω Class-D amplifier and onboard DSP, powering both deep low-end and select K-array passive loudspeakers from one elegant core.
Design Story
Designed as the “brains and brawn” of a K-array reinforcement rig, the KS1 I combines flexible DSP—grouping, fully parametric EQ, limiters, routing, and up to 230 ms delay—with intuitive control via K-array Connect and K-framework3 for fast system tuning at scale. Its symmetric-ported bass-reflex design and rugged Finnish birch plywood cabinet with polyurea coating are built to stay dependable in demanding environments, while black/white or full RAL finishing keeps the installation visually refined.

Simply combining two or more subwoofers to obtain a configuration that guarantees cardioid diffusion even throughout the low frequencies promises to give you a cleaner sound on stage, minimise risk of acoustic feedback, and in general a greater control over sound design the way you want it.
Crafted for Heavy Touring
The Thunder Series subs are built with a choice of Finnish birch plywood so it lightweight and incredibly resistant, making it the perfect speaker for audio rentals.The new polyurea paint and the cataphoresis treatment for the front grill, further treated with powder coating, also give greater resistance to the harsh weather environments often experienced on the road.
