Sunway Carnival Mall is a shopping mall located at Seberang Jaya, Central Seberang Perai, Penang, Malaysia which opened in June 2007. It is a stylish 4-storey shopping mall strategically located within the town centre of Seberang Jaya, a well-integrated township initiated by the Government to boost the administrative, residential, industrial and commercial sector of Malaysia’s northern region.
For Sunway Carnival Mall, the brief was to deliver a background music system that enhances the shopping experience while also supporting clear announcements across the entire concourse. The audio needed to provide even coverage throughout common areas, ensuring music, advertisements, and special announcements could be heard clearly by shoppers without overpowering the space. Our role covered consultation, design, and installation, resulting in a sound solution tailored to the mall’s modern interior. Speakers were carefully positioned to achieve consistent coverage across each floor, while their finishes were customised in stainless steel and embedded seamlessly among mirrored surfaces. This approach allowed the audio system to blend naturally into the architecture, delivering a polished soundscape that complements the mall’s contemporary design and supports day-to-day operations effortlessly.
