Design Solution
This project involved an outdoor sound system installation that required loudspeakers capable of providing wide-area coverage with clear speech intelligibility and high-quality music playback, while also being fully weatherproof and resistant to harsh environmental conditions. During the design phase, K-array Kobra KK52, Python KP52, and Thunder KMT12 loudspeakers were selected for their durability and performance. All three models feature weather-resistant and waterproof coatings making them well suited for long-term outdoor use. The speakers can deliver optimal output levels and coverage to effectively serve both the swimming pool area and the adjacent event space. The line array speakers narrow sound dispersion minimises sound spill and reflections in the large venue. On site, the speakers were strategically positioned throughout the venue to achieve the required dB SPL levels and optimal coverage. Careful system tuning and calibration were carried out to enhance speech intelligibility, deliver energetic and impactful music for events, and control reverberation within the outdoor environment.
