The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM), located in Kuala Lumpur, serves as an ambassador of Islamic Arts in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the IAMM opened its doors in 1998, and is home to a vast collection of Islamic arts and artifacts, beautifully curated in its 12 permanent galleries.
We designed a discreet, design-led audio solution for the museum using Amina Invisible Speakers, allowing sound to enhance the visitor experience without competing with the visual storytelling of the space. The client required clear, immersive audio for exhibitions and ambient soundscapes—while keeping walls and ceilings free from visible technology. The Amina panels were seamlessly integrated into the architecture and finished to match surrounding surfaces, making the speakers completely invisible once installed. Sound radiates naturally through the space, guiding visitors and enriching exhibits without drawing attention to its source. The result is an elegant, unobtrusive sound system that supports the museum’s narrative, preserves its aesthetics, and delivers a refined, immersive experience throughout.
